Remind yourself of a few things when following your nutrition plan can get difficult.

  • First, cheating on your diet is not cheating yourself. Not your coach, not anyone else except you. For lifestyle purposes, you can have a few meals off plan per week without killing your gains and/or weight-loss momentum.
  • Secondly, you should have a strategy in place. Seltzer water, black coffee, and many other appetitive suppressants can help keep you full until your next meal.
  • Third, you should realize the digging phase is TEMPORARY. If you can’t handle the temporary struggle, you aren’t earning the long term pleasure, the restaurants and the unhealthy foods that you love aren’t going to be disappear overnight.
